Archbishop Rummel High School

Owned and administered by the Archdiocese of New Orleans, this all-male school, grades 8 through 12, was opened in 1962 under the direction of and following the traditions of the Christian Brothers.  Presently the school has an enrollment of 1331 students.

Cathedral-Carmel School

This coeducational elementary school (pre-K through 8) is the result of a merger of Cathedral High School and Mount Carmel School in 1967.  It became solely an elementary school when St. Thomas More High School opened in 1982.  The school is owned and conducted by St. John the Evangelist Cathedral Parish.

Catholic High School

Opened in 1918, St. Peter’s College was one of the original schools of the new New Orleans – Santa Fe District.  When a new plant was built outside of town, Catholic High School became a school owned by four of New Iberia’s church parishes.  This school, with an enrollment of 934, is coeducational from grades 4 through 12 while early elementary students attend St. Edward School.

Chrisitian Brothers School

This middle school (grades 5 through 7) opened in 1960 in the old McFadden mansion in City Park, New Orleans.  The school grounds provide quiet and opportunities to study the environment.  Christian Brothers School has an all-boy enrollment of 276.

De La Salle High School

De La Salle High School’s opening in 1949 marked the return of the Christian Brothers to New Orleans since their departure in 1900.  Originally an all-male school, De La Salle became coeducational in 1993.  Situated on picturesque St. Charles Avenue, this school has an enrollment of 747 students in grades 8 through12.

St. Paul's School

Formerly Dixon Academy, St. Paul’s School was first opened by the Benedictines in 1911.  In 1918 the Christian Brothers took over the ownership and administration of the school.  Situated among the tall pines north of Lake Ponchartrain, St. Paul’s is an all-male school, grades 8 – 12 with an enrollment of 747 students.  It discontinued its residency program at the end of the 2003 academic year.
