The District of New Orleans-Santa Fe is one of five Districts in the Lasallian Region of North America (RELAN) of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. Founded in 1921, we are 55 De La Salle Brothers and over 400 Lasallian Partners strong. Our District currently encompasses the states of Colorado, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas, where we serve over 4,500 students in educational works that include six high schools, one middle school, and co-sponsorship of one university branch. We collaborate in Lasallian ministry with the District of San Francisco and together will form the new District of San Francisco New Orleans in July, 2014. Our District headquarters, the De La Salle Provincialate, is located in Covington, Louisiana.
Our spiritual and educational roots are deep, extending back to 17th century France, and the first seedlings of our District were planted in New Orleans in 1851. Today, our "Lasallian Mosaic" of Brothers, Partners, and associates continue to grow in the spirit of faith and zeal that is the gift given to us by our Founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle. Together, we work in God's presence with care, vigilance, and love to fulfill our mission "to give a human and Christian education to the young, especially the poor."

Daily Prayer, Readings & Reflections
Lenten Intention: In this sacred time of Lent, may we humbly and prayerfully reflect on our lives, turning away from all sin and always seeking to build God's Kingdom of peace and justice in our hearts and in our world.
